Since 1150 A.D., Acoma Pueblo has earned the reputation as the oldest continuously inhabited community in North America.
There is no single Acoma pottery form, but one I have come to love and is a vase or pot with the form shown below.
Acoma pottery comes in many different forms, some with elaborate designs. Most of the pottery was designed to be functional but has become decorative collectables. My interpretation of Acoma pottery attempts to honor the form and craftsmanship that these talented potters bring to their trade.
